GOlden Tour
PRESENTATION
This trip takes you to a valley in Trentino which is regarded as one of the most fascinating and original for its variety of natural, historical and artistic landscapes: the Non Valley. On your way, you can admire many castles scattered on sunny hillocks and fruit growing terraces. You have also the opportunity to visit innumerable churches with many frescoes, true sacred art jewellery distributed all over in this valley.

In the middle of orchards and vineyards, this itinerary offers you a visit to the most luxuriant, agricultural area of Trentino. You start from Trento and, after crossing the Piana Rotaliana, described by Cesare Battisti as "the most beautiful planted with vines garden of Europe", you will arrive in the rich Non Valley. This sunny valley is famous for its apples and for its innumerable villages, churches and medieval castles.
Then you continue along the right side of the river Noce, a torrent that engraves this vast and wavy plateau. You reach the Thun Castle, one of the most spectacular feudal construction in Trentino. From there, you continue passing through various typical villages deep in the green of trees in flower. Almost by chance you run alongside castles such as Bragher Castle and Malgolo Castle.
Then you drive through a canyon to reach the Sanctuary of San Romedio, a magnificent complex of churches and chapels on a rocky spur. Now you are back on the main road, up to Fondo. Passing Cles, you run through the valley again, on the other side of the river. The landscape you can admire is suggestive as it is in the outward journey: you can relax, savouring the beauty around. You finally arrive in Mezzolombardo where you can stop into a cellar to enjoy a glass of Teroldego wine.
You end your excursion through history and nature in Trento.
